Gallagher's Steak House Expands Private Label Wine Produced by Long Island's Palmer Vineyards to Its U.S. Franchised Restaurants
Aquebogue, NY (PRWeb) May 9, 2008 -- Gallagher's Steak House franchises across the United States have added Gallagher's Private Reserve Red Wine to their lists. The wine, long served at Gallagher's flagship restaurant in New York City, is produced by Long Island's Palmer Vineyards.
Gallagher's Private Reserve Red, a blend of, merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon will be poured at Gallagher's Steak Houses in Atlantic City, Denver, Las Vegas, Newark and Tampa, as well as at the chain's original restaurant in New York City's Theater District.
Philip David, chief operating officer of Gallagher's Franchises, describes the wine as "well balanced, deep ruby red, robust with a smooth lingering finish."
The wine features a label designed Marlene Brody, owner of Gallagher's Steak House and a prominent thoroughbred horse owner and breeder. The label has a picture of one of Brody's best Gallagher's Stud thoroughbred horses, a homebred mare named Eventail.
"We are delighted to continue our long standing relationship with Palmer Vineyards," David added. "Our patrons in New York and at all the franchises are sure to enjoy this robust red wine with a great 21-day aged, USDA prime steaks."
"It's great to be endorsed by a quality restaurant group such as Gallagher's," said Robert J. Palmer, owner of the Long Island winery. "Having the Gallagher's name on the label facilitates the sale of our wines in areas far away from Long Island and allows us to continue our role as an ambassador for our region throughout the United States."
The new availability of Gallagher's Private Reserve Red in the restaurant's franchises represents the continued success of Palmer Vineyard's custom wine and label program. Palmer also supplies wine to The View Restaurant at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, the Fulton Crab House at Disney World and Jack's Oyster House in Albany, N.Y. In addition Palmer Vineyards' 41/72 Merlot and Chardonnay are being poured at Wolfgang Puck's located in Pleasure Island at Disney World and Palmer Vineyards Cabernet Franc is available at the Seasons 52 restaurant chain operated by Darden.
Established in 1986, Palmer Vineyards is the most-awarded winery on Long Island. The Palmer Vineyards tasting room on Route 48 in Aquebogue is modeled on an old British pub and its tasting deck, overlooking the vineyards, is spacious.
